I draw my maps in Procreate on my iPad Pro. I copy and paste the compass roses and town markers, and I designed the castle walls as vectors before turning them into a brush to use in Procreate. The other elements are individually hand-drawn. Who knew drawing thousands of teeny-tiny trees could be so therapeutic?
